Things I like......Part 2

You probably know by now that, I LOVE sewing, learning new things to sew and perfecting the ones I already know to sew since I'm at an advanced level. I enjoy every second of it simply because it relaxes me when I'm stressed about something and keeps me focused when I can't find focus on other things. It helps me save  money cause I shop a lot...so it's kinda cool to just make something instead of buying it.

Here are some of my equipments and work I did.........

Basic pattern blocks that come with different sizes, I bought mine for about £35.00 and it is just amazing, I can make skirts, tops and dress just from this block alone, so a really good investment.
Put if you say you can pattern cut to save your life, then you can buy patterns for garment at any fabric shop, they normally have a book with different designs and you just buy the pattern for the design.

Some equipment to get you started on, paper and fabric scissors, H2 pencil only because its really fine and doesn't leave any heavy marks, rubber and a pattern master which comes is different shapes and sizes just pick the one you feel comfortable with and also pattern paper.
of course they are other stuff that are used but for basics I'll just stick to these.

Mannequins are very handy especially if you are person the loves to work through draping instead of flat pettern making, you can buy ones that just one size or you can but ones that are ajustable to any size, the decision is yours. Also a measuring tape (very useful) in centimeteres and inches.

These are my two favourite books, can buy the on ebay or amazon for a really good price. The Sewing Book was given to me by my mother and the Metric Pattern Cutting book by a classmate.
But if you desire to purchase any the ISBN number for the Sewing Book is 978-1-4053-4421-0
Metric Pattern Cutting book is 978-1-4051-0278-0

Last but not least A domestic sewing machine, I love the Brother brand forhread u a first time machine, very easy to ready and understand, simple to thread up and use aswell. you can purchase one like this at Argos for a really good price or Amazon it's up to you.

A requested Prom dress I made for a friend, I used a mixture of pattern cutting and self draping.

A requested Birthday Dress I did for a friend, also used a mixture of pattern cutting for the top and self draping for the bottom of the dress.

Uni work, A sample sleeveless blazer with jetted pockets (used flat pattern cutting)

Uni work, final chosen design, which is a 100%Silk dress and 100%wool blazer (also used flat pattern cutting)

A requested evening gown for an event along with my skirt which I  used all flat pattern cutting.

A little piece of Me......

So this is just a little example of things that I like....

1. Vintage items, such as wall paper and furniture but mainly Parisian vintage.
2. I like mainly fitted skirts and dresses, I think they are very feminine and flatter my hour glass shape.Along with any type of HEELS, I'm kind of short and I don't like it so I wear heels a lot to elongate my stature, and because I am in love with tall people.
3. Fabrics that look and feels gorgeous, such as silks and chiffon's.
4. All my Favorite colors are here- Bronze ,Mustard, Gold, Brown, Emerald green, Aqua Blue, Taupe shades, and soft rosy pinks.
5. Perfumes that smells sweet, so I smell like sweet candy......
6. Statement jewellery....rings, ear-rings and necklaces.
7.Totally love manicures I did the whole fake nail acrylic thing and it didn't look so good after so I stay to true nails and taking care of them.
8. Make-up, I don't depend on it but just think it brings out the best features you have...and adds an extra cuteness.
9.I am a clutch bag fan,and size will do but sadly I constantly buy huge bags because I can't manage to carry less things.
10. I love anything that is outdoors, Parks to be exact, I think that they are refreshing and romantic and cute.
